Petra (Jordan)
  • Excursion to Petra from Sharm El Sheikh

Excursion to Petra from Sharm El Sheikh is one of the most popular and extraordinary trips. The journey begins at night when tourists depart from hotels by bus towards the border with Israel. Petra is an ancient city in Jordan carved into the rocks, which is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The main attraction is Al-Khazneh (The Treasury), known for its magnificent architecture. It’s also worth seeing the Cliff Facades, the Amphitheater, the Royal Tombs, and other amazing structures. Next, the path leads to the small village of Wadi Musa, where the archaeological park of Petra is located. It has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and is known for its beautiful canyons, valleys, and vast cultural heritage created by the advanced civilization of the Nabateans. Arriving in Petra, tourists can feel the ancient atmosphere and experience the lives of those who lived here over 2000 years ago. One of the main attractions is the grandiose Al-Khazneh, known as the Treasury of the Nabatean capital. This architectural wonder made of red sandstone impresses with its beauty and power. Tourists are also offered a hike to Mount Pharaoh, which offers stunning views of the city of Petra. The return to Sharm El Sheikh is scheduled for the evening, where all guests are delighted to have achieved their goal — to see and enjoy the beauty of the ancient culture that lived on these lands many centuries ago. When visiting Petra, it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and clothing, as well as bring sunscreen, water, and a camera to capture unforgettable moments.
